Tunnel is a captivating, but underrated record produced in Naples by Giorgio Verdelli and Danilo Rustici in 1978, brought to light by Dario Di Pace, one of those who believes that Neapolitan music is a sonic mixture of ancient and modern musical registers. Also in "Tunnel Lights" and in "Speed Up" the conflit between tradition and modernity develops as the recovery of popular tradition is contrasted with the push to innovate.
Moving on to the Tunnel musicians we start with the voice and the guitars of Danilo Rustici, then, passing through the percussions of Tony Esposito and the saxophones of Enzo Avitabile, we arrive at the keyboards by Joe Amoruso for whom this one-off project represented his recording debut!

Yes, Joe Amoruso, musician-arranger who crossed his experience with Premiata Forneria Marconi, Zucchero, Vasco Rossi, Mauro Pagani and who was part of that true 'dream team' of Pino Daniele made up of technically extraordinary musicians but above all gifted with an inimitable sound.

So here is a 12" vinyl reissue in which the evocative original songs from almost half a century are reflected in the new versions created by a swarm of prestigious DJ-arrangers including Massimo Berardi and Francisco & Malkuth (ed.: Francesco De Bellis and Cosimo 'Cosmo' Mandorino in disguise) in turn assisted by other musicians (Luca Andreozzi bassist) and dj-arrangers - as the talented Raffaele Arcella always very collaborative - who took part for the remix versions of this Extended Play with enormous passion.
