about

Introducing the newly refined and definitive reissue of this extravagant Italo-disco masterpiece, an absolute gem from the 80s! "Sexy Films" exudes a deep and brilliant aura, offering an acoustic energy that's perfect for the down-tempo, ideal for the after-party vibe. It's a truly eccentric song that found a special place in the hearts of many Psy-Trance enthusiasts, particularly those who were captivated by the New Wave sound, akin to the works of Amin Peck.

This release includes not only the vocal version by Kroma, featuring sensual and playful voices harmonizing with uplifting melodies driven by gritty drum machine patterns, but also the instrumental version. What's more, this new edition boasts the captivating rebuild version crafted by Danilo Braca in 2020!

Enrica Maldini's charming vocals, somewhat reminiscent of an Asian skater navigating slightly imperfect English, are accompanied by an oddly infectious funky bass line, twinkling bleeps, and electronic drums. She gracefully transitions into smooth, cool, and moody '80s synth lines during the bridge before vanishing as swiftly as she appeared.

Italo-Disco often features unique vocals, but Kroma's interpretation stands out by any measure. It's a sung speech, and the laughter, in a surprisingly strange way, adds a truly fantastic touch! Without a doubt, the synthesizers are incredibly catchy, and the performer is unforgettable, appearing solely in this 1984 cult classic that has been a staple in DJ sets for nearly four decades. Let's give a round of applause to Best Record and this genuinely exceptional record. In a genre as diverse as Italo-Disco, filled with one-of-a-kind tracks, this one stands out, reminding us that the essence of Italo-Disco is its unpredictability.
